Bogus hospital busted in Ahmedabad, Owner Booked

Bogus Medical Facility in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad: Authorities have uncovered a fraudulent hospital operating under the name “Three Star Hospital” in the Naroda area of Ahmedabad. The facility, located in the Shikhar Avenue complex in Nana Chiloda, was being run illegally without proper medical registration.
The Naroda police have filed charges against the hospital owner for operating an unregistered hospital. According to the news reports, he is accused of renting the premises and establishing a fully functioning hospital, complete with an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and trauma center, without any legal authorization or medical expertise.
Investigations revealed that the hospital was operating with a forged "Form-C," which bore the fake stamps and seals of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). The hospital owner who has no formal medical qualifications, reportedly treated patients, issued fake medical reports, and provided fraudulent treatment certificates to individuals seeking medical care.

According to Desh Gujrat, Furthermore, he is accused of misusing doctor registration numbers issued by the Gujarat Medical Council to create fraudulent treatment certificates. Patel also allegedly created fake seals in the name of the unregistered hospital.
The accused allegedly defrauded patients by charging them for treatments that were not only unauthorized but also illegal. Additionally, he is accused of facilitating false treatment summary files and facilitating fraudulent medical insurance claims, which totaled Rs. 2,08,672 for four different policyholders.
The Naroda police are continuing their investigations and have vowed to take strict action against the accused.
