1,533 PG Medical Seats Available in UP NEET PG Round 3 Counselling
The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGMET), Uttar Pradesh, has released the Round 3 seat matrix for UP NEET PG 2025 counselling, detailing the availability of MD, MS, and DNB seats across government medical colleges and associated hospitals in the state.
As per the official seat matrix, a significant number of postgraduate diploma and DNB seats are available in various Autonomous State Medical Colleges, Government Medical Colleges, and District Hospitals affiliated with medical institutions.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently opened the online application window for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH UG programmes.

Supreme Court Dismisses MBBS Students’ Plea Seeking Answer Sheet Re-evaluation
The Supreme Court of India has dismissed a special leave petition filed by medical students of Goa Medical College who were seeking re-evaluation of their answer books for the Third Professional (Final Year) MBBS Part II supplementary examination.
The plea challenged the Goa High Court order, which refused to direct the reevaluation of their answer books, observing that the Goa University followed norms by not permitting them to make any application for reevaluation.

HC Rules Maternity Leave Cannot Be Clubbed With Regular Leaves to Cancel Doctor’s Candidature
Observing that reproductive rights are part of fundamental rights, the Kerala High Court has held that maternity leave cannot be clubbed with regular leave to cancel the candidature of a doctor pursuing a DrNB super speciality course under the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
The Court was considering a plea filed by a DrNB trainee who sought extension of leave after availing maternity leave and medical leave, but NBEMS rejected her request, stating that her total leave exceeded the one-year limit and could lead to cancellation of her candidature.
