PIMS slashes fees for non clinical PG medical courses under management quota, details

The institute, in an official communication, PIMS, has stated that the fees committee has fixed the tuition fee for PG Non-Clinical State Govt. Quota Rs 6,55,000/- and for Management Quota Rs 13,05,000/ Fees for the academic year 2024-25.

According to the notice issued on the CENTAC website, the PIMS Management Committee considered reducing the Annual tuition fees fixed by the Fee Committee for the Management Quota seats in the non-clinical subjects for the academic year 2025-26.

This reduced annual tuition fee amount is as per the Annual tuition fees that have been fixed for the State Govt. Quota students. The Annual tuition fees for both categories of students (Mgmt. Quota & State Govt. quota) could be the same as mentioned below for the AY 2025-26.

This is being done as most (>75%) of the Non-Clinical Specialities are not filled/have been lying vacant and this consideration could be an opportunity for deserving students to avail this opportunity and join the PG (Non-Clinical) courses based on the counselling to be held by CENTAC (Govt. of Puducherry).

This reduction in the fee for PG (Non-Clinical) seats is considered without prejudice to our persistent representation to increase the fee fixed by the Fees Committee for both Govemment and Management seats in clinical specialities with a view to sustaining the quality of medical education in our lnstitute and also to cross-subsidise the fees to increase the enrolment in non-clinical specialities for which the demand is decreasing year by year.
