Indian MBBS Student Dies of Heart Attack in Kazakhstan
Rajasthan- In an unfortunate incident, a medical student died of a heart attack in Kazakhstan, where he was pursuing his MBBS degree.
The medico has been identified as Utkarsh Sharma, 21, a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan.
On the day of the incident, after dinner, he went for a walk, but when he returned, his health had suddenly deteriorated. Seeing his condition, his friends took him to the hospital, but by then, he had died. After reaching the hospital, he was officially declared dead.
The family of the deceased MBBS student was immediately informed, and upon receiving the news, two members of Utkarsh's family reached Kazakhstan. Currently, the Indian Embassy is doing all the paperwork to help the family bring back the body.
The deceased was the son of a homeopathic doctor. The medico was a national and state level athlete who excelled in both sports and academics. He was a topper who consistently topped his class and won several medals in sports competitions, reports IndiaToday.
Before the incident, Utkarsh had spoken to his family and asked for money to buy new clothes. But by the time his sister called again, he had fallen ill.
Medical Dialogues earlier reported about a case wherein a MBBS intern at Rama University recently died of a heart attack while on duty. The medico had been identified as a 26 year old MBBS intern at Rama Medical College in Kanpur. In afternoon, while on duty, she collapsed suddenly after leaving the pediatric ward. Despite being rushed to the ICU immediately, doctors were unable to revive her, and she was declared dead during treatment.
