AIIMS Bhubaneswar to Hold 5th Convocation on July 14, details

Bhubaneswar- The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar is going to hold its 5th Convocation Ceremony on 14th July 2025. In this regard, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has issued a notice for all the graduating students about the important instructions related to the upcoming Convocation Ceremony.
As per the notice, to maintain the decorum of the event, all students are required to adhere strictly to the prescribed dress code. For female Students it is Salwar Kameez or Saree and for the male Students it is Formal Trouser and Full Sleeve Shirt with/without Tie and Formal Shoes. However, students not adhering to the dress code may not be permitted to participate in the convocation ceremony.
The Convocation ceremony will commence at 05:45 PM on 14th July 2025. Therefore, all students must report at least 2 hours prior to the commencement. However, no entry into the venue is permitted before 1 hour of commencement. The venue for the ceremony is Lecture Theatre, Ground Floor, Administrative Block, AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, the first rehearsal will be conducted on 12th July 2025, 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM and the second rehearsal will be on 13th July 2025, 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM. In addition, candidates must collect their gowns on 12th July 2025, 12:00 Noon to 02:00 PM. The returning date of gowns is 14th July 2025, 09:00 PM onwards and 15th July 2025, 09:30 AM onwards.
AIIMS Bhubaneswar is one of the six new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna which was announced in the year 2003, to address the regional imbalances in tertiary healthcare. The then Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee laid the Foundation stone on July 15th 2003.
