NMC extends deadline for medical colleges to upload MBBS admissions details 2025
New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for medical colleges to upload details of students admitted to the first-year MBBS course for the academic year 2025-26 on the NMC admission portal.
As per an official notice issued by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), institutions will now be able to submit the required admission details until March 31, 2026 (midnight).
The extension has been granted to give medical colleges additional time to complete the process of uploading accurate admission data on the NMC portal. All medical institutions have been instructed to ensure that the details of students admitted to the first-year MBBS programme are updated within the revised timeline.
"Various representations have been received requesting that the portal be reopened to facilitate the submission of complete student details. 3. In view of the above, the competent authority has decided to further extend the date for filling the details of admitted students of the 1 st year MBBS Course for the academic year 2025-26 till 31 st March 2026 (midnight). To navigate the online portal for entry, you may follow the link. All Medical Colleges/Institutes are requested to ensure that the requisite details are submitted on the portal within the stipulated timeline. No further extension for submission of student details shall be granted," the notice read.
In the notice, the Commission has directed Directors, Deans, and Principals of medical colleges across the country to complete the submission process through the designated NMC portal and follow the prescribed guidelines while uploading the information.
The communication has also been shared with State and Union Territory Medical Education Departments and Directorates of Medical Education, asking them to ensure that all affiliated colleges comply with the revised deadline.
Medical colleges have been advised to carefully complete the uploading of admission details within the extended timeframe to maintain proper records for the MBBS academic session 2025-26.
