BHMS student allegedly slaps faculty during internal exam after cheating, Video goes viral

Kalaburagi: A shocking video has gone viral on social media showing a BHMS student allegedly slapping an assistant professor at Dr Malakareddy Homeopathic College in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, after being caught cheating during an internal exam.

The incident reportedly took place inside a classroom during an internal exam. The Assistant Professor was on invigilation duty when he noticed a student allegedly using a mobile phone to cheat.

The viral video shows the student initially getting up from his seat and appearing to leave. However, moments later, he returned to the professor and slapped him twice before other students could intervene.

As per Dainik Bhaskar sources and the viral CCTV visuals, the professor approached the student and asked him to hand over his answer sheet. The student initially refused, leading to a brief argument inside the examination hall. He later submitted the answer sheet after being instructed to do so.

However, when the professor asked him to leave the classroom, the student returned and allegedly assaulted the professor in front of several students who were giving their exam.

The video has angered the medical community, drawing strong reactions and criticism over the alleged assault on a faculty member inside an examination hall.

The college administration has acknowledged the incident and stated that it has initiated an internal inquiry. Officials said that appropriate disciplinary action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

As of now, no police complaint has been filed in connection with the incident.
