BFUHS debars candidates from NEET PG stray vacancy round

Faridkot: The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has issued a notification debarring 6 candidates from participating in the Punjab State Stray Vacancy Round of online counselling for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, and six-month Ultrasonography training courses under Punjab State NEET PG 2025.
The decision comes following the declaration of the final results of the All India Quota (AIQ) Stray Vacancy Round by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The last date and time for submission of objections, if any, to the provisional allotment is February 26, 2026 (up to 12:00 Noon). Objections must be submitted via email at given mail id.
The revised provisional allotment/result, after considering objections, will be displayed on February 26, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must complete the payment of the balance fee and report to the allotted college between February 27 and February 28, 2026.

The university has advised all NEET PG aspirants to carefully follow counselling guidelines and regularly check the official website for updates regarding admission procedures and seat allotment status.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) approved 8,424 newly granted seats for Postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2025-26, up from 8,416 in the earlier notification. With this revision, the total number of PG medical seats has increased to 58,400, compared to 58,331 announced previously, reflecting a rise of 69 seats.
According to NMC seat matrix, 1,328 PG seats have been added in Karnataka, 1,034 PG seats in Uttar Pradesh, 905 seats in Tamil Nadu, 657 PG seats in Gujarat, 653 seats in Maharashtra, 531 seats in Telangana, 509 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 482 seats in Andhra Pradesh, and 440 seats in Rajasthan, 235 seats have been added in Bihar, 226 seats in Odisha, 224 seats in West Bengal, 213 seats in Haryana, 154 seats in Kerala, 149 seats in Uttarakhand, 139 seats in Chhattisgarh, 120 seats in Jammu & Kashmir, and 115 seats in Punjab. 78 seats have been added in Puducherry, 47 seats in Delhi, 41 seats in Assam, 36 seats in Himachal Pradesh, 23 seats in Arunachal Pradesh, 20 seats in Dadra & Nagar Haveli, 16 seats each in Jharkhand and Tripura, 13 seats in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and 10 seats each in Manipur and Mizoram
