The Supreme Court recently upheld an order passed by a Division bench of the Rajasthan High Court denying to grant relief to Singhania University, which had sought the recusal of the Single Judge adjudicating the issues of recognition of MBBS courses at the University on the ground of possible bias.
Accordingly, the Apex Court refused to interfere with the interim order passed by the HC Division bench, which had upheld the Single Judge's order refusing to recuse.

Granting relief to a second-year MBBS student, suffering from cerebral palsy, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted her additional compensatory time during examinations, on the account of her disability.
Even though the petitioner was granted 1 hour of extra time initially, it was found inadequate for the petitioner. Therefore, the Court granted another 30 minutes of extra time to her.
